A Day in the Life
Rhythm & Tzus is a small, home-based Shih Tzu breeding program in Northwest Indiana. Our dogs are part of our family first, and our puppies are raised in our home with steady care, gentle handling, and age-appropriate socialization.
Our Shih Tzus enjoy being part of everyday home life. They love cuddle time, play time, quiet time, and spending time with their people. We believe happy, well-cared-for parents help give puppies the best possible start.
Our home routine is calm, consistent, and centered around the needs of our dogs and puppies. From the nursery stage through go-home day, each litter is raised with attention to comfort, cleanliness, safety, and development.

Our puppies are bred with care, intention, and a strong focus on health, temperament, and companionship. We are selective about the dogs we breed and thoughtful about the families our puppies join.
Once born, our puppies are cared for in a clean, comfortable nursery. As they grow, they are gradually introduced to more of the sights, sounds, and routines of home life. When developmentally ready, they move into a central area of our home where they can safely observe daily activity and begin building confidence.
As the puppies mature, they receive gentle handling, supervised interaction, and age-appropriate socialization with people and our Shih Tzu pack. We focus on helping them become secure, affectionate companions who are prepared for a smooth transition into their forever homes.
Their physical care is equally important. Our puppies receive regular deworming, a veterinary exam before going home, and age-appropriate vaccinations.
Experienced Breeding
We are experienced Shih Tzu breeders with an understanding of coat color, genetics, temperament, and responsible pairing decisions. Our goal is to raise healthy, happy, well-socialized puppies who are ready to become beloved companions.
